MEET KATHRYN
Kathryn is a Wellcoaches trained and certified health and wellness coach working with her company, Health Inspires, LLC, using a holistic approach to inspire each person to reach their full potential and master their well-being. She is author of her book by the same name, Health Inspires. She has been selected as a health education expert on Sharecare, a world recognized wellness platform, owned in part, by Dr. Oz and Oprah. Kathryn serves on the Advisory Council for the Austin Mayor’s Health and Fitness Council working on community and organizational health and wellness initiatives. She currently works in the space of healthy aging, and previously as Director of Employer Health and Wellness for a large Central Texas healthcare conglomerate working with employers on wellness strategies and employee engagement. She is a proud graduate of the Leadership Austin Essential Class 2015, has her B.S. and M.Ag. degrees from Texas A&M University. Gig 'em! She is wife to John for 25 years and mom to 19 year old twin boys Luke and Dayne.

Kathryn has always had a passion for health and wellness and previously co-owned HealthyFUNday, Inc., co-creating interactive nutrition educational tools for parents and educators to use with children. Her past business successes include partnering with the Governor’s Commission for Women and Texas Round Up; the Governor’s fitness initiative for Texas, and co-creating nutrition educational tools for Texas Children’s Baylor College of Medicine, Teacher Heaven retail stores (Texas), Lake Travis Independent School District, Williamson County YMCA, as well as to educators and parents along the way. Her nutrition tools were endorsed by the Director of the nationally recognized Dell Center for Advancement of Healthy Living at the University Of Texas School Of Public Health, for the CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Childhood Health) program that is in many of our public schools across the nation. It was her internship role and opportunity at the University of Texas School of Public Health at the Dell Center for the Advancement of Healthy Living that led her to being published in the July 2011 American Journal of Dietetics.

Her passion and purpose is helping people create healthy habits through sustainable behavior change. She knows these lifestyle habits will positively affect their families as well. Because she shares the commonality of “busy” with most, she understands the challenges to stay on the right track. She does it, and can meet you where you are and lead you to your best self now. Health Inspires.

Living Healthy lies in having your needs met in the spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional aspects of your life. This includes healthy relationships, with those people you care about and that care about you; purposeful work, that you enjoy doing and that gives you energy; and proper nutrition and physical activity that maintains your healthy weight, nourishes your body with foods and movement that give you the strength, energy and clarity you need to be the best you can be. Life satisfaction revolves around these factors and balancing them based on your needs.

Dreaming Big is to visualize yourself as your best self. No dream is too big! You can create a vision as far reaching as you want; because it is your vision.  What does it look like? What do you look like? What do you want? You can have what is important to you in your life. What do you want for your life that makes you feel purposeful, appreciated, joyful, and gets you excited about being alive and jumping into everyday? You can have it.

Being Bold is to take that first step toward your dream. Robert Frost said, "Freedom lies in being bold." There is power and magic in moving forward with your purpose. It takes boldness to leap and run, moving in the direction of your dreams and following your passion. There is life giving energy in being bold. Be bold in every way. You can be gentle in your boldness. Just start.
